We are looking for a Project Leader to join our Paint Shipbuilding Production Department. We need a manager with professional expertise and unwavering focus on impeccable results to contribute to the high quality of our yachts.

What will you do?
As a Project Leader in the Paint Shipbuilding Production Department, you play a key role in ensuring the highest quality standards within our yacht projects. The exterior paintwork is a defining element of our yachts’ superior finish, and your expertise will be essential in maintaining this excellence.
In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day management of paint and filler application on-site, coordinating subcontractors for both exterior paintwork and the yacht’s technical areas. You will monitor the progress of multiple projects, ensuring that all schedules are met while maintaining seamless coordination between different disciplines working simultaneously on each yacht. Effective teamwork and clear communication are crucial to success.
Leveraging your professional expertise, you will meticulously inspect and monitor the quality of work delivered, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements. You will also provide regular progress reports to all relevant stakeholders. Working on high-profile, results-driven projects in the top tier of the yacht-building industry offers a high level of job satisfaction. Where will you work?
The Paint Shipbuilding Production Department is an international team of dedicated specialists responsible for the complete sanding, filler application, and paintwork of our yachts. A shared passion for quality drives the team, ensuring every project meets the highest standards.
All yachts are built at the Heesen shipyard in Oss, fostering a strong connection to the end product. Communication within the team is direct, and the atmosphere is both open and informal. A key aspect of Heesen’s working philosophy is the freedom and trust given to employees to take ownership of their responsibilities within a defined framework.

Who are we looking for?
You are a specialist with focus on quality and results. You combine your professional knowledge with high managerial capabilities. You are ambitious and always strive to bring out the best in yourself and your team. You are stress-resistant and keep a constant clear overview of all elements of each project you undertake. You are able to respond quickly and efficiently to changing circumstances, and your problem-solving abilities are second to none. You have strong analytical skills and know how to take initiative. You are clear in your communication and always work with respect and tact when collaborating with colleagues from other departments.
Education and experience:
- An HBO-degree with a technical background.
- RMCI certified or willing to obtain it.
- NACE 1 & 2 certified or willing to obtain it.
- Extensive experience with high-quality sanding and paint systems, preferably in shipbuilding or bodywork construction.
- Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office.
- A comprehensive level of English (oral and written) and German (oral).

- 8% holiday pay based on gross annual salary.
