Are you a motivated Welder who wants to work in the highest division of yacht construction?

We want to hear from you!

We are looking for an experienced Welder to join our Shipbuilding Production Department. We need a motivated Welder who wants to follow our unique welder training to grow into an expert in the field of luxury yachting construction.

  • What will you do?

As a Welder in the Shipbuilding Production Department you will work on the hull construction of Heesen’s high-quality yachts. Based on the job specifications and drawings you will work with the Welding team section to section. After the keel laying, you will build the hull from the middle until a complete hull construction has been created which will meet all Heesen’s strict quality and test requirements. You will work with aluminium, steel, cunifer and stainless steel. Unique to Heesen Yachts are the possibilities for education to help our Welders grow into an experts in their field. The internal welding training is highly regarded throughout the industry, and teaches Welders perfect control of the technique so you are able to perform exceedingly complex welding assignments. The result is a product you can be proud of: there is no greater satisfaction watching a Heesen project transformed into a world-class superyacht.

  • Where will you work?

The Shipbuilding Production Department realises the complete construction of the yacht. The Outfitting and Paint teams are also part of this department. Together with the Mechanical and Interior Production Departments, the Shipbuilding Department realises the complete construction process in our facilities in Oss. You will work in ‘Hal 6’ at the yard, where you will find a fantastic sense of teamwork. You will enjoy direct communication, an open atmosphere and a shared passion for high-quality with your colleagues.

  • Who are we looking for?

You have a solid foundation of welding, and are eager to specialise in new welding techniques to become an expert in your field. You are studious and self-motivated, able to work both independently as well as part of a close team. You strive for the best in everything you do, and bring a positive energy to the team.

    Education and experience:

    • MBO-degree in the field of construction work/sheet metal worker.
    • Experience with the reading of drawings.
    • Experience with MIG-welding activities.
  • What we offer

At Heesen, the happiness of our employees is important to us. That’s why we offer all Heesen employees a job with responsibility, collegiality and appreciation. You will get all the space to further develop yourself and grow.
Working at Heesen, you can expect the following attractive benefits:

    • Pension scheme.
    • Fitness subscription with 50% discount or free company sponsored swimming.
    • Collective health insurance.
    • 27 holidays and 13 (set) ATV-days (when working fulltime).
    • Possibilities for development and education.
    • Active staff association organising fun trips, drinks and festivities.
"The main reason the work is fun is down to the variation. I’m 22 and I feel that I can learn anything here - all while working on these beautiful yachts."
