The Business Office department comprises Project Management, Calculation, Planning, and Purchasing, serving as the hub of our company. Both internally and externally, this department acts as the point of contact for various teams within Heesen to ensure projects are realised on schedule, within budget, and in line with agreements.
The high level of interior construction demands much from our Project Managers. Complex interiors are constructed almost entirely by hand using a variety of exclusive materials. Our Project Managers ensure an efficient production process by obtaining timely design approvals, providing the production department with comprehensive information, and ensuring that all materials are delivered by suppliers punctually and in line with specifications.
The interior of a yacht requires countless hours and significant amounts of valuable materials and parts. This is why we focus on precise project calculations and budgets that encourage a cost-conscious approach. We continually strive for process optimisation in our speculative series yachts to build even more cost-effectively.
The Planning department monitors production capacity across our departments and ensures optimal utilisation. In the long term, an accurate assessment of capacity and potential bottlenecks is developed based on an overview plan. Drawing from the project schedule, detailed plans are created for each department. Issues are identified and resolved at an early stage through creativity and teamwork.
The Purchasing Department is responsible for formulating and executing purchasing plans for our yachts. Our Category Buyer initiates and manages relationships with preferred suppliers and new market participants to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality materials and parts within budget. Purchasing stays abreast of the latest trends and innovations, ensuring that our yacht interiors are and will continue to be at the forefront.
