Our Shipbuilding production department is looking for a sheet metal worker. You will have the opportunity to enjoy a unique welding training to become a true professional in luxury building.

What will you be doing?
As a sheet metal worker in the Shipbuilding production department, you work on compilation of the hull construction of absolute top quality yachts. Based on the order specifications and drawings, you accurately work section by section. Your work will mainly be in aluminium. A unique feature of Heesen Yachts is the opportunity to further your skills as a sheet metal worker. There is also an opportunity to increase your know-how and skills of welding by following an internal welding training. You learn how to apply your basic know-how on a daily basis in order to create the most complex constructions within yacht building. This gives you great satisfaction. Just like the product you are building. The pride you feel when a yacht is completed, is what drives you.

Where will you work?
The Shipbuilding production department realises the complete construction of the yacht. Together with Mechanical production and Interior production, Shipbuilding production is responsible for the actual construction of the yacht. This all takes place at the shipyard in Oss. ‘Hall 6’, where you will be working, can be characterised as having great solidarity and team spirit. Colleagues have each other’s backs. And there is a great sense of quality. Communication is direct, in an open and informal atmosphere.

Who are we looking for?
A sheet metal worker, you have a general basic knowledge of steel or aluminium. You have affinity with our product and you want to build on our customers’ dreams together with us. You are eager to learn and to become specialised. You believe strongly in gaining knowledge and learning from others. You work independently and accurately but are also energised when working in a team. Say what you do and do what you say, is your motto. This makes you reliable, so that colleagues can depend on you. You are not satisfied with 7 out of 10, you require quality. You show leadership and are not afraid to speak up when there is a risk of something going wrong.
Education and experience:

- A completed technical MBO background at minimum level 2
- You have experience in reading technical drawings
- You preferably have experience in MIG welding of aluminium
- You enjoy working independently but also learning from others
- You are service-oriented and you deliver quality within the agreed time
