Heesen invests heavily in internships at various levels and collaborates with numerous educational institutions within the industry. For instance, we offer internships at MBO level for students from Koning Willem I College, Summa College, and STC. At the higher professional and university levels, we have internships available for students from, for example, HAN Nijmegen, Avans University of Applied Sciences, and Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, both in Design & Development and in our administrative departments.
Would you like to gain valuable practical experience as a BBL student during your training? At Heesen, as a BBL member, you are genuinely employed and immediately contribute to the construction of our yachts. Our production departments are always on the lookout for mechanics, welders, yacht interior builders, and carpenters who wish to acquire valuable work experience in yacht building as BBL workers.
As a recognised training company, Heesen is a distinctive place to learn a trade. A variety of craftsmanship skills are essential for building a yacht. For instance, at our yard in Oss, we offer BBL positions in Machine Construction, Construction Work, Sheet Metal Work, and Ship Metalworking. Additionally, at our interior construction department in Winterswijk, you can learn the crafts of furniture maker, interior builder, or mechanical woodworker.
You may choose from the following courses: Mechatronics, Production Technology, Furniture Maker/(Ship) Interior Builder at levels 2, 3, and 4. Alongside your practical supervisor and buddy, you will become familiar with the organisation and the field. Inquire with your course about the available opportunities.
