Heesen Academy

Heesen places great emphasis on developing employees’ (functional) knowledge, craftsmanship, skills, and competencies. The Heesen Academy supports this by assisting you in selecting the appropriate training or course, as well as organising individual or group training sessions. We also provide crew training to familiarise both new and existing crews with the operation of our yachts.

Knowledge is paramount at Heesen. If you visit our shipyard in Oss or explore our location in Winterswijk, you will witness the immense craftsmanship and expertise required to construct our yachts. Moreover, customers consistently challenge us to innovate with each project, enabling us to build ever larger and more complex yachts. This is what makes working at Heesen both varied and challenging.
Through the Heesen Academy, we offer targeted support and practical knowledge that foster continual development. Here are a few examples:

Heesen Masters & Heesen Professionals: development programs for leadership at the management level, project leaders, and team supervisors.
Heesen Skills: individual or (in-company) group training focused on enhancing functional knowledge. Examples include the renowned and widely recognized NIL welding certification for steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, or the Yacht Building for Non-Yacht Builders course.
Heesen Competences: individual or (in-company) group training aimed at developing competencies. These non-technical training sessions focus on knowledge, skills, and attitude as outlined in a personal development plan.
Heesen Certificates: such as VCA safety certification, hoisting, or aerial work platform courses.
