Are you an experienced Veneer Worker consistently delivering the highest level of quality in luxury interior builds?

We want to hear from you!

We are looking for a skilled Veneer Worker for our Interior Production Department. We need a professional who works with passion, precision and impressive attention to detail to realise the veneer work of the most exclusive yacht interiors in the world.

  • What will you do?

As a Veneer Worker in the Veneer Department, you will work on some of the world’s most incredible yacht interiors using a unique pallet of exclusive types of veneer. You will be working at the highest level of the yacht building industry, on interiors which have to comply with the highest quality standards. Weight is an essential factor in all yacht builds, which means we often work with wood veneer.

You will work independently based on the supplied drawings from your team. From these drawings, you will create complete veneer plans based on the offer of purchased veneers. For each room on board, you will organise the veneer batches based on colour, structure and length. You will create patterns with the veneer for inlays on special tops, or other unique items in the yacht’s interior. No Heesen yacht design is the same, and everything is piece production, which results in variation in your daily role as well as a number of technical challenges. You will be given freedom to work with attention, precision and unfaltering concentration to create something truly beautiful. There is no greater satisfaction watching a Heesen project transforming into a world-class superyacht, on time and budget.

  • Where will you work?

The Veneer Department takes care of the complete veneer work of our yacht interiors in Winterswijk. Driven by craftsmanship, dedication and teamwork, we create yacht interiors of exceptional quality. After a precise final check in Winterswijk, the interior components are transported to the shipyard in Oss, where they are mounted on board. The high level of quality in all Heesen yachts is rare within the yacht building industry, and even rarer in other industries, requiring great skill and precise attention to detail. A characteristic of the Veneer Department, as well as all the other Heesen Interiors departments in Winterswijk, is a shared passion for craftsmanship, a focus on achieving the perfect end result and a pleasant atmosphere. Employees enjoy direct and open communication and a pleasant sense of comradery amongst colleagues.

  • Who are we looking for?

You are a professional who strives to achieve your personal best in everything you do. You are flexible and stress-resistant, with a passion for the luxury interior building industry. You are communicative and a fantastic team player. You excel when working independently and enjoy direct and open communication and a sense of comradery between colleagues.

    Education and experience:

    • Completed VMBO-/MBO-degree in the field of naval engineering and/or carpentry, OR verifiable work experience.
    • Experience as a veneer worker in the interior building industry.
    • General knowledge of materials and detailed knowledge of the different kinds of veneer.
  • What we offer

At Heesen, the happiness of our employees is important to us. That’s why we offer all Heesen employees a job with responsibility, collegiality and appreciation. You will get all the space to further develop yourself and grow.
Working at Heesen, you can expect the following attractive benefits:

    • A competitive salary.
    • Good travel reimbursement with unlimited kilometres.
    • Pension scheme.
    • Fitness subscription with 50% discount.
    • Collective health insurance.
    • 24 holidays and 19 (set) ATV-days (when working fulltime).
    • Possibilities for development and education.
    • Active staff association organising fun trips, drinks and festivities.
"It gives an enormous amount of satisfaction to extend the veneer to the entire room, working hard until you get a beautiful room"
